apply for a residency

Scholarships & Artist Residencies

The Hundredth Hill will solicit applications for quarterly funded residencies in varying genres. Next up is the Deep Winter Writing Residency Series: Emergence

which will take place during the months of January and February, 2022.

The Deep Winter Residency application period has ended, and awarded writers will receive a sponsored residency, including lodging in a private artist residence, and may be asked to share completed or excerpted works. Look for announcement of our Spring Residency in January, 2022.

We continue to make available openings for non-awarded, personal retreats and artist residencies year-round. Consider rallying friends & family to make donations in your name here. All donation amounts that come in will be directly attributed to your residency fund, and are tax-deductible for your donors, based on federal nonprofit 501(c)3 guidelines.

It is our mission to support art and artists, so contact us here to find out about our availability, which varies by season. We want to make it possible for you to create your art, so get in touch!

Looking to take a personal or group retreat, or to help get your favorite artist a spot at The Hundredth Hill?

The same applies! We have year-round openings in our residences for non-awarded residencies and personal and organizational retreats. Contact us here to find out about rates and availability. Retreat time in a serene setting can often inform larger decisions, help in problem solving, and renew inspiration, so consider giving yourself or someone you love the gift of time and space.

If you'd like to sponsor an artist, you can contribute directly to a residency with a potential tax-deduction. And more importantly, you could influence the course of that artist's work and trajectory. It's a profound experience to be supported in your art in a place that values art as the catalyst for change and human potential. The Hundredth Hill is that place. And of course, if you come across an artist whom you'd love for us to consider for a future awarded residency, send them our way. We love new discoveries!
